JOHNNY VAN HAL, the Swedish heldentenor, is singing the lead parts in Wagner operas such as Siegfried, Tristan and Isolde, Parsifal, Tannhäuser, Lohengrin, Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer and Walther von Stolzing in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. Other important parts are Alwa in Lulu, Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos, Der Kaiser in Die Frau ohne Shatten, Hoffmann, the Prince in Rusalka, Cavaradossi in Tosca, and Florestan in Leonore.

The german news-paper DIE WELT has chosen Johnny van Hal as the «Best Singer» in the region for his acclaimed performance as Siegfried at the Aalto Theater in Essen.


Critics give warm praise for van Hal’s Alwa in LULU:

There were a host of great reviews in the international press after the premiere of Stefan Herheim’s Lulu in Copenhagen this autumn.
