The Royal Danish Theatre’s Wagner operas are celebrated worldwide. Now the journey into the world of Wagner continues with the intense and tragic tale of a man who succumbs to his destiny, torn between love and art, in a new staging by Kasper Holten. An outstanding ensemble of singers and the world’s greatest opera chorus will take to the stage under the musical direction of Friedemann Layer, who in 2007 reached heavenly heights conducting the Royal Danish Orchestra in Wagner’s Lohengrin.
